NOTE: We will be back in stock in the middle of August (18-25) Follow our news for updates LINK. The Cloud Nine Split Ergonomic Mechanical Keyboard is the first split RGB full sized keyboard with real cherry mx keys on the market. The keyboard was designed with the highest ergonomic standards and quality in mind. The adjustable 9” braided cable links the two sides of the keyboard allowing the end user to customize the separation of the keyboard, giving you the most customizable full sized split RGB ergonomic keyboard on the market. From short to tall people the Cloud Nine C989M is extremely diverse in universal usability. Several types of keyboards, even ergonomic keyboards, have 5-10 degrees of positive slope from either front or to back. These types of keyboards put a lot of strain on the wrists causing pain and possibly carpal tunnel issues. THE C989M has zero degrees of slope on the exterior angles and gradually increases to 14 degrees in the middle creating a perfect slope for the most essential wrist positioning. The 9 inch cable between the two sides allows the user complete separation ranging from a small footprint to a large. This type of ergonomic design relieves ulnar deviation which can be extremely painful.
The great attribute of the C989M mechanical keyboard is it’s full size board. A lot of ergonomic keyboards on the market are not full-size keyboards. When typing in numbers, standard keyboards can only be used from the top row or you will have to use some kind of function to type in the numbers which can be extremely time consuming and annoying. For these types of keyboards, you will need to buy a keypad that can cost up to $100.00. This is not needed for the Cloud Nine keyboard, it’s all included.
Standard Key Layout
There is no need to get use to a brand new keyboard style. The familiar layout allows you to hop right in and start typing away.
Real Genuine Cherry Switches
The current Cherry switch for the C989M is a geniune Cherry MX Brown. This key switch is quiet with tactile feedback, making it perfect for accurate typing and a subtle and audible feedback. A great hybrid for typists and gamers.
Tactile switching characteristics
55 cN operating force
2.0 mm pre travel
4.0 mm total travel
No audible click
Unlike the C989M many manufactures use poor quality components and other low-priced mechanical shafts on the market. The C989M uses German Cherry shafts which have excellent quality and durability. Cherry shafts all use first-class precision springs, internal gold contacts on the shaft body, and have durability of up to fifty million clicks. At the same time they have an excellent feel that has been tested by countless users and are stable and comfortable for long-term use. The Cloud Nine C989M is even great for gaming! That’s right, you can work or play with the Cloud Nine C989M. The keyboards splits into two halves’ allowing either side to be used. This creates space for your mouse or mic to be placed between the two sides for advantageous game play and comfort. You can easily adjust and separate the keyboards to your desired separation. Shoulder-width, apart, and a slight angle is recommended to achieve neutral wrist angle as well as the best ergonomic experience. Everyone’s game play and position are going to be different, so feel free to experiment with what is most comfortable for you. Designed with ergonomic aesthetics in mind but also built for the most competitive gamers. With anti-ghosting and 2ms response time this keyboard is ready to game!

I have nerve issues from a neck injury and my hands have pain and numbing when typing. I wanted an ergo keyboard to try after having good luck with an ergo mouse. Many of the Ergo keyboards are extremely expensive and are missing many key features. The cloudnine is split, has excellent switches, a 10 degree tent, RGB, and a number pad. You can easily spend $200+ on only a few of those features from other brands. I cannot overstate how nice it is to still have a number pad. I run a retail store and while I do not type much, I do input numbers constantly and having that at my disposal is extremely important. I specifically wanted a keyboard that splits because I have wide shoulders and this keyboard has been very nice. I used a longer cable than the one that came with it. The RGB is pretty nice. I have a "gamer" PC and even though I'm not a huge fan of RGB it's hard to get away from it. So having the keyboard have a matching theme is very nice. I am not a huge fan of the software. It is on par with iCue, Armorycrate, etc, and I do not mean that positively. I would really like some more options especially on such a nice keyboard. Specifically, the outside edge light strips are constantly on the setting of "RGB Vomit" as I like to call it. This thing is an absolute joy to type on. I admit, I type fast, but I have bad habits. There will be an adjustment period for most people. The switches feel great and the matte finish is excellent and easy to keep clean. My biggest complaints are not being able to change the edge RGB strips and the giant center button. From the factory the button clicks to change RGB and rotates to adjust brightness. I have no had a way to get it to map to something important like Windows volume control. The macro buttons work great for gaming or Google Sheets. If you know how to use Excel/Sheets you'll know how to set up a macro in the software. I will gladly give this a 5/5 rating. It helps with the biggest problem and that is my nerve issues for pain and numbness. It feels incredibly nice to sit at, type with, and play games. It has so many features at a nice price that I cannot recommend it enough.
A True Upgrade
This is the first keyboard I've seen that is a real upgrade from the Microsoft Natural I've been using since the late 90s. It has an excellent feel to the keys, solid build quality, and a standard key layout. It has flashy LEDs and a huge silly nob in the middle but I honestly don't care. As a software engineer, the form factor and build quality are worth the money to me.
Good keyboard, poor software
Enjoy the split keyboard and the lighting. Easy on hands and fingers and relieved my pain.
Software that is required to remap keys is unusable! It came up once but never again. The one time it worked, it was of such a small size that I couldn't zoom in to do anything.
liked it a lot
Wonderful. Best keyboard ever. Class of ‘93 rulz
Sure, it’s not perfect. Put that function key somewhere else or allow it to be reassigned, you animals. Many people’s muscle memory has been trained for that to be the the Windows key since around, I don’t know, 1995? I reassigned it that way, but that leaves me with no function key. That is the only physical thing wrong with this keyboard. It’s almost completely perfect. Are you like me and hate it when you accidentally turn off number lock? Problem of the past... disable that pos! Same problem with hitting the scroll lock, insert or some other key that you may never use? Disable!! Create your own keyboard pretty much. Are you German and want to physically switch the Y & Z keys? TU es einfach!! Get this keyboard now. You need it in your life! Don’t like the feel of ergonomic? You’re a heretic, but whatever.... rotate away and undo all that scientific engineering, you savage! Trust me though... I’ve never lied to you, have I? Do it. Now!
